Part IV:
Exposition: Heading north to Llangarlia.
Everyone headed out towards Llangarlia to create the new Troia Nova. There were about three more ships added to the fleet. Most ships were overcrowded. Cornelia has, so far, won hearts of many, she was becoming evermore agreeable to what Brutus has said.
Rising Action: Cornelia goes into labor.
Cornelia wanted to have one little thing her way in the marriage. She wanted to give birth on land. Brutus knowing the risk, and the vision, he had agreed and brought his finest men with them for help if the need arises. They landed at Poiteran (modern-day west side of France), a spiteful country with a malicious king. While Cornelia was giving birth, the army of Poiteran had attacked the Trojans. Swords flew and blood splattered everywhere. The deaths of many came. As the final thrust from Brutus’ sword at his victim, his son was born. They called him Achates.
Climax: Not her fault.
Even though Cornelia should be held in blame for the deaths, she is innocent. Brutus knew of a vision of a woman, Cornelia, giving birth to a boy and just as he was born, a sword was buried into her belly, killing her. Bruus knew of the consequences of fulfilling that vision and it cost him a few fine soldiers with it.
Falling Action: They reach Llangarlia untouched by another storm.
Reaching Llangarlia must have been the most joyous event there was in the entire book. Everybody was happy that they could get off the ship, that they could hunt again, and that they were able to rest while staying on land. Brutus met the party of soldiers that the Llangarlians had sent from the veiled hills. They were shocked that the Trojans could speak their language.
Resolution: A compromise?
Because Brutus and Cornelia, are doomed to each other, they agree to comply their attitudes and respect each other. Knowing that what they had was different than any other in Ancient history, Brutus tried to be thoughtful and respect Cornelia. Cornelia actually loved Brutus. Loved him for his son, for marrying her, even if it was forced, and bringing her to that forever lush green land she now calls her home. Most importantly, she loved the man himself.
