Favorite Character:
My favorite character in the novel of "Hades' Daughter," is Cornelia. She is the highlight, the candle in the window on a moonless night. She survived through heartache, rape (of her and her kingdom), humiliation, childbirth, and other natural and personal disasters.
Cornelia is a role model. She was a spoiled, ignorant teen who had only thought of what she wanted and thought she was going to get what she wanted. She wanted Melanthus as her husband. When Brutus had taken control of Mesopotamia, he killed Melanthus in the process. Upon hearing of his death, Cornelia vowed that if Melanthus couldn't kiss her, no one could. Brutus tormented her for the time they shared in the bedchamber. Teasing her and such. Cornelia matured into a woman as she became pregnant. At first she despised the little Trojan baby that was in her womb. But, when Achates was born, she loved him with the undying love that only a mother can give. Furthermore, Cornelia had also become the one chosen to help in the destruction of the Troy Game.
